Procure a Venue
Jesus is Lord Tour is a street ministry and we're taking it to the streets! Town squares, gazebos,
city parks. All these can often be had for little or no
money. If a public venue is not available, your own church
will certainly do of course, but our main goal is to expose
the public and unsaved who would not normally enter a church
to the Word of God.
Most towns in the U.S.A have some sort of website. You can find out who to talk
to in your town. Most often the Director of Parks, Chamber
of Commerce, or even private citizens can provide a venue
such as farms or private businesses. A good place to search
for state and local governments is here: www.shgresources.com . You could also use Goggle and type in something like: "nashua nh official website",
using the name of your town instead.
When
you've found your venue, be sure to state your purpose, description
of event, date, times, performers
and sometimes lyrics of the performers you plan on having.
Provide full contact information. Finally, establish your
operating costs concerning the venue.

Establish a Date & Time
When negotiating with your chosen venue, give yourself as much time as possible
to allow for effective promotion and planning.
This should be done in writing to insure no misunderstanding.

Procure Bands & Speakers
There are many music ministries and most of them will be more than happy to play
for free and or be happy with a donation or "love offering"
for their services. Don't be afraid to check out and question
ministries about their beliefs. It is crucial that the Word
of God be accurately conveyed and that they have a true
heart to minister. Many bands have their own sound systems
and are often willing to share the use of their equipment
with others. This could solve a lot of shopping around for
expensive sound systems and sound company's.
We are blessed in New England to have a wonderful ministry dedicated to helping
musicians and coffeehouses connect with each other. It is
a very good source for finding quality music ministries: New England Christian Coffeehouses . You can also surf the New England coffeehouse circuit on the Agape's music
ministry website and follow the links to the artists web pages where available.

Gather Sponsors
Invite sponsors to your event and recommend to them to set up tables at
the event. Sponsors would be other churches and charitable
organizations in your town who would be glad to have an opportunity
to introduce themselves to the public. Establish a reasonable
fee sufficient enough to cover costs of the event and perhaps
provide a love
offering to the performers. The purpose of these events is
not for personal gain so any extra moneys should be distributed
as love offerings to the artists, donated to charity or used
to buy pizza for your hardworking volunteers!
BACK
Promote!
As soon as you know the who's, what's when's and where's, it's time to start
promotion.
On the "Resources" page of this site are downloadable posters, blank PSA's for
radio and print media as well a links to Christian radio stations.

Round
up the Troops!
Just as we call upon the Holy Spirit to guide us as individuals, so must we call
upon our brothers and sisters for help in more earthly matters
such as setup, cleanup, and most importantly having people
available for answering questions of the unsaved and leading
them toward salvation.
BACK
Pray on it!
We often forget the power of the Holy Spirit and try to do everything by ourselves.
We need only to surrender to His will and get out of HIS
way!
